Lori's Newsletter
November 2008
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! I enjoyed decorating my house for my grandson, and he enjoyed playing with the decorations. LOL. But now I’m ready to put away the pumpkins and white ghosts. Before long, I’ll be sorting through all my winter decorations.
What I'm Up To Right Now:
As I told you last month, I’m working with a new web designer and things are shaping up nicely for both of my sites. I promise the end result will be sites that are easier to navigate, with the most important information upfront.
I’ve also been hard at work on new books! I wrote two novellas that will be tied together and published in one anthology, with two novellas from Erin McCarthy. The anthology is titled, Out of the Light, Into the Shadows. Erin and I have each written a straight romance novella that ties into our darker, more paranormal romance novellas. One of my novellas is from Lori Foster, and the other is from L.L. Foster. Very fun, and I must say, very sexy! But those stories won’t be out until August 2009.
Now I’m working on my next L.L. Foster single title, Servant: The Kindred. Because many of you have asked, I’ll tell you that, Yes! In this 3rd installment of the “Servant series,” Gaby and Luther do consummate their relationship.
Remember that you can visit me daily at my message board (linked from my Lori site) or at my group blog at www.runningwithquills.com, or at facebook, or at my myspace pages: Lori is at www.myspace.com/mostlymam and L.L. is at www.myspace.com/llfoster
Book News:
Watch for a sneak peek – available only for a limited time – of my February single title release, My Man, Michael going online the first week of November.
Also, watch for two excerpts from the December release of Double the Pleasure, a new anthology featuring a “Winston” novella. They’ll be posted mid November.
Additionally in book news, Charmed, an older anthology that I was in with Jayne Ann Krentz (writing as Jayne Castle), Eileen Wilks, and Julie Beard, has been reissued with a pretty new cover. The cover will be added to my related series page and my reissue page.
Thanks to all of you, Caught (a reissue of Taken and Say Yes) made the New York Times extended list!
Book Signings:
For those of you in California, on my birthday, November 14th, I’ll be at the Mira Mesa Barnes and Noble book store in San Diego. 858-784-3166. Come celebrate my 50th with me!
And on November 22nd, my husband’s birthday, I’ll be at the Ohio Barnes and Noble bookstore at the Streets of West Chester, 1:00 to 3:00, 513-755-2258.
Those dates just happened to fall on our birthdays. Fun, huh? You can find more information about the signings on my website.
I hope to see you there!
Cafepress:
For both writers and readers, my Cafepress store offers a lot of fun and unique gifts for people of all ages. Each month I feature a new item on my site. If you haven’t been to the store, check it out at www.cafepress.com/lorifoster
I think you’ll find some wonderfully novel (forgive the pun) gift ideas for your friends.
Reader and Author Get Together 09:
The next big “Reader and Author Get Together” is June 5th-7th 2009, and already I have a terrific line-up of authors, NY editors and agents, and small press publishers. Make us on your calendar and watch for registration forms to go online in January. Given our growth last year, our 5th annual event looks to be packed. You’ll want to get registered early to ensure a spot at the event!
