Happy December!
I hope the season has you smiling, filled with good cheer, close with family and friends, and in the holiday mood. I'm all caught up for a change, and I have plenty of outside lights on the house and gazebo down by the pond (check out my facebook page for photos!) and other than sending out my Christmas cards, I'm good to go!
A SPECIAL GIFT FOR YOU!
Because I'm finally caught up for a change, I decided to write a FREE story for all of you. Count it as a Christmas present from me. I love this time of year, the magic, the promise, how people pull together to help each other. That's what inspired my short story, Christmas Candi. It'll be posted on my L.L. Foster site. www.llfoster.com The short story is related to my novellas that were in Out of the Light, Into the Shadow. Featured is Amos Jardine, uncle to Mercedes and Brax (who each had a romance in the anthology.) I hope you enjoy it!
WHAT I'M WORKING ON
I had my birthday last month and I spent the time writing! But I'm thrilled to say that I finally finished the first of my 4 book contract with Hqn. I LOVE these new characters, so I've got my fingers and toes crossed that you will, too. I won't know if you like them for awhile though. The book won't be out until 2011, because it's going to be the first of a 3 book trilogy set for back to back release. If the schedule doesn't change, I'll have If You Dare out in June 2011 and then two more books, related by characters, in July and August. I hope you like that plan!
But don't forget, this month Double the Heat, featuring a Winston cousin – and with cameos from Joe Winston – hits the shelves. Double the Heat is Hart Winston's story. It's related to the story for his twin brother, Dex Winston, that was out Dec 08 titled, Double the Fun. Dex's story will be reissued as a mass market this month.
ROMCON CONFERENCE
If you're a conference goer, there's a new one that you won't want to miss. I'm telling you early so that anyone interested can start planning. I'll be there!
RomCon™ 2010 will be in Denver, Colorado on July 9th to the 11th.

The 2009 event had over 300 people in attendance, 100 of them authors. Readers, writers, editors, agents, and publishers all come together for every booklover's ideal fun-filled weekend! There's plenty of opportunity for getting your books signed, talking to sister readers, meeting authors, photo ops, good food, and raffles, all in a relaxed atmosphere.
So far (as of Nov 27th) we've gotten over $700 in donations/entries for the grand prize giveaway!

Please remember – I'm trying to get my Facebook friends to join my Facebook fan page. I'm told that after 5000 people join my personal page, it'll shut down – and we don't want that! I have over 3000 friends right now, and I get over 50 more each week, so... closing in fast!
Fan pages can accommodate a lot more people. The Fan page would be the same as my personal page, though. There's a link for the fan page on my regular Facebook page, right below my profile picture.
