Happy July, everyone!
ANNIVERSARY!
Yesterday, June 30th, was my 31st wedding anniversary. My how time flies when you’re having fun – and it has been fun.
FINISHED A NEW BOOK
Because I was cutting it close on a deadline, I spent my anniversary putting the final touches on a book! This will be Drew Black’s story, titled Back In Black, which should be on shelves Feb 2010. I know, a long way off!
I just sent the cover and backcover blurb to my webdesigner, so look for it on my site very soon.
CONTEST
I ran a contest in my newsletter last month, and I drew a winner on my anniversary. Congratulations to BARBARA HARDWICK. I’ll get the ARCs (Out of the Light, Into the Shadow, and Servant: The Kindred) in the mail to her as soon as I receive her home address.
READER AND AUTHOR GET TOGETHER
The event was an enormous success with over 300 attendees. You can see photos galore from my site at www.LoriFoster.com under the community link.
From our fabulous raffles we made a lot of money for special causes.
* For the One-Way Farm for abused and abandoned children, we gave a check for $6616.00
* For the ongoing collection for our Troops, headed up by Laurie Damron, we made $506 in cash, checks and gift cards + a lot of physical goods to fill the boxes shipped
* And for the AAF – Animal Adoption Foundation, www.AAFPets.com - Author and agent proceeds from Tails of Love go to benefit the AAF. They already received a generous advance for the book, and at the event we SOLD OUT! In addition, attendees donated many physical goods like collars, towels, litter, and food, and we had $225 in Pet Smart gift cards.

Watch for these reissued books from me in July:
Real Men Last All Night, a reissue of my novella, Luring Lucy, but with new novellas from the rest of the authors.
Sinful, a reissue of one of my Winston brother novellas.
Late July, keep your eyes open for Out of the Light, Into the Shadow. The anthology features two stories from me, a contemporary as Lori Foster and a darker story as L.L. Foster. The two novellas are linked as a brother and sister. The antho also contains two stories from Erin McCarthy. I hope you enjoy it!
