The busy month of June!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY... to me!
The end of June, my husband and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary. We're low-key homebodies, so by celebrate, I mean that we had dinner out together and saw a movie – same old, same old – but that's because the same old is perfect for us. ☺
I have to admit, every year is better than the last. I'm very, very blessed.
Hubby and I met on the 3rd day of our sophomore year of high school when he switched history classes. Yup, I remember it well. We married right out of high school, and in the years that followed, we've always been on the same page, wanting the same things out of life. Sure, we've had our ups and downs, but I can't imagine a better dad to our 3 sons, or a better friend and husband to me. Through the losses of family members, sickness and in health, troublesome times and grand celebrations, it's always been better because we're together. I wish each and every one of you the very same happiness that I've been fortunate enough to find. And now, after that bit of mushiness... on to business!
ROMCON
For anyone planning to be at ROMCON in Denver, Colorado, July 9th to 11th, I hope you find me and say hello! I'm involved in many of the different activities, and I'll be speaking a few times to the groups, and best of all, I’ll be there for the book signing. ☺ I'd love to meet you!
READER AND AUTHOR GET TOGETHER
The event was an enormous success! I'm very, very jazzed over how well it all went, and how much fun we all had.
I've posted lots of photos to my Facebook Fan page and there should be a few on my website on the Get Together page.
During the event we always do raffles for local organizations, and this year we designated the money to our ongoing troop project, the AAF - Animal Adoption Foundation – and the One Way Farm, a home for abused and abandoned children.
For the troops, we got $550. Thank you to Laurie Damron for all her hard work on that!
A special raffle garnered $635 for the AAF (Hubby and I rounded up the check to $700.) Thanks to my son Jake for handling that for me! (He's in the photo on my site.)
And for the One Way Farm we got $5708, which included $155 earned separately through a contest held by Trinity Blacio. (Hubby and I rounded up the check to $6000.)
We also sold a whole lotta copies of The Gift of Love, which is extra fantastic since the proceeds from the book go to the Conductive Learning Center, a special needs school for children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy.
Giant thanks to everyone who attended, who bid on the fabulous raffle baskets, who DONATED raffle baskets, and to all who made the event so fun. Now I can’t wait till next year!
Mark your calendars for June 3rd, 4th, 5th! Hope you can make it for the 2011 Event. ☺
NEW SINGLE TITLES
Many of you have emailed to ask me when I'll have a new single title available. Here's the quickie explanation! I signed new contracts with HQN, and they wanted me to have 3 single title releases, back to back, in May, June and July 2011 – so I'm hard at work writing those books. To have them out together, I have to get them all done in the timeframe normally reserved to write one book... which means there'll be a gap. Sorry about that! But I'm hopeful that the wait will be worthwhile and that you’ll enjoy the stories. Tentative titles are, When You Dare, with Dare Macintosh, Trace of Fever, with Trace Rivers, and Savor the Danger, with Jackson Savor. The backdrop heroes are private mercenaries and so far, I'm having a blast with the stories!
For those of you who ask... yes, I'm done with the fighters – for now. I never say never, and if a really compelling story comes to me, I'll write another, I promise.

While you're waiting for a new single title, why not catch one of these upcoming reissues?

RECENT BOOK RELEASES
The 3rd benefit book, The Gift of Love is now available. All author and agent proceeds from the sale of the book will go to benefit The Conductive Learning Center, a special school for children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy. The stories are all romances by some of today's favorite and bestselling authors! I hope you give it a try.
Here's the backcover blurb:
Families come in many configurations, and every one is unique, made up of the personalities of each member. But the love that connects families is universal. Whether it is the love of parents for their children, the love between a husband and wife, the love between siblings, a love that transcends generations, or even the love for a family member never met, the family ties that bind us are the strongest and deepest emotional connections we experience. Families influence a person's development, how they treat others, and how they view life. In The Gift of Love, eight exceptional writers offer a variety of unique perspectives on what family love means and how it impacts our lives in ways profound and often surprising.
Featuring: Lori Foster • Heidi Betts • Jules Bennett • Ann Christopher • Lisa Cooke • Paige Cuccaro • Gia Dawn • Helen Kay Dimon
Also now on sale, Just a Hint - Clint. It's reissued from trade to mass market. Information and excerpt are on the site
